Our client is looking for one Spreader Operator to join their team.

Job Duties:

• Supervise asphalt crews performing tasks like raking, smoothing, and tamping asphalt materials.
• Manage winter crews filling potholes and repairing streets using cold patch asphalt.
• Oversee equipment operators running machines such as grinders and pavers.
• Assign daily work and guided crews on work procedures and techniques.
• Coordinate asphalt deliveries from plants to work sites.
• Monitor material supplies and request additional materials as needed.
• Document completed jobs and equipment usage on activity sheets.
• Inform supervisors of issues at work sites and ensure safety compliance.
• Facilitate training for new crew members and provided ongoing support and guidance.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Communicate with clients to address any concerns or questions about the project.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations always.

Job Requirements: 

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in asphalt repair or equivalent position is an asset.
• Valid driver's license is required for this role.
• Knowledge of geographical locations within the City is helpful in this role.
• Strong work ethic, and initiative.
• Great focus and attention to detail.
